About The Position

The Associate Production Manager – Music is an integral member of the Claire Trevor School of the Arts (CTSA) production team, individually responsible for overseeing and coordinating the technical aspects of all productions hosted by the Music Department. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the APM – Music ensures the successful execution of concerts, special events, and projects by managing and advising technical and organizational aspects for all Music Department productions. The APM – Music provides guidance and supervision on all technical aspects related to music productions, implementing high-quality standards and processes that best support on-campus CTSA Music Department productions, while compliant with all safety standards. They will advise, lead and train undergraduate students, graduate students and teaching assistants who are employed as production crews for CTSA's Music Department's productions, as needed. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: select, manage and track equipment inventory, stock expendables and repairs, manage and maintain theater facilities and organization, schedule instrument tunings and moving's, prepare and manage financial budgets and reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or 3-5 years equivalent experience / training in music production.
  • Must be able to provide proof of work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the successful execution of concerts, special events, and projects by managing and advising technical and organizational aspects for all Music Department productions.
  • Providing guidance and supervision on all technical aspects related to music productions.
  • Implementing high-quality standards and processes that best support on-campus CTSA Music Department productions, while compliant with all safety standards.
  • Advising, leading and training undergraduate students, graduate students and teaching assistants who are employed as production crews for CTSA's Music Department's productions, as needed.
  • Selecting, managing and tracking equipment inventory.
  • Stocking expendables and repairs.
  • Managing and maintaining theater facilities and organization.
  • Scheduling instrument tunings and moving's.
  • Preparing and managing financial budgets and reports.
