About The Position

BlackRock Investment Management, LLC is seeking an Associate, Product Manager in Princeton, NJ. This role involves leveraging deep expertise in the Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) business model to deliver end-to-end solutions, collaborating closely with various teams including Portfolio Managers, Operations, Onboarding, Billing, and Data Engineering. The position requires expert knowledge of Aladdin applications for troubleshooting and supporting portfolio and account management teams. The Associate will partner with cross-functional stakeholders in Implementation, Onboarding, Marketing, and Legal & Compliance to execute large-scale client transitions, aiming to improve scalability and mitigate operational risk. A key responsibility includes supporting the development of a client account management portal by analyzing data requirements, planning the development pipeline, and ensuring accurate data feeds for a seamless client experience. The role also involves collaborating with engineering and data teams to design data models, manage data pipelines, and implement data-quality checks. Furthermore, the Associate will define and manage the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Data Insights capabilities, ensuring alignment with business needs. A strong understanding of SMA client deliverables, such as performance statements and fact sheets, is required, along with overseeing the processes for their generation and validation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as an Associate, Analyst or a related role.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) business model, including client deliverables including performance statements and fact sheets.
  • Two (2) years of hands-on experience using the BlackRock Aladdin technology platform.
  • Two (2) years of experience implementing and managing data quality checks and controls within financial data environments.
  • One (1) year of experience defining data requirements and working with engineering and data teams to design data models, semantic layers and data pipelines.
  • One (1) year of experience collaborating with portfolio managers, operations, onboarding and billing teams to support client transitions.
  • One (1) year of experience providing management of financial services projects through determining sizing and scope, establishing target timelines, driving execution of component steps, performing testing, preparing project artifacts, and maintaining stakeholder engagement.
  • One (1) year of experience supporting development of client facing portals in financial services, including defining data requirements and ensuring accuracy to delivered data feeds.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize expert knowledge of Aladdin applications to help troubleshoot issues and ensure seamless and timely support for portfolio and account management teams.
  • Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders across Implementation, Onboarding, Marketing and Legal & Compliance in a technical capacity to execute large‑scale client transitions, improving scalability while mitigating operational risk.
  • Support the development of a client account management portal by analyzing data requirements, planning the development pipeline, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of portal data feeds to enable a seamless client experience.
  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to design data models and semantic layers, manage data pipelines, and implement rigorous data‑quality checks.
  • Define and manage the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Data Insights capabilities, ensuring alignment with the needs of Business, Portfolio Managers, Advisors, and Operations teams.
  • Oversee processes to generate and validate SMA client deliverables, such as performance statements, fact sheets, and related reporting, accurately.
