About The Position

The Cloud Networking and Infrastructure Legal team supports Google Cloud’s AI infrastructure and networking product portfolios, international expansion efforts, and helps counsel teams on global regulatory compliance across Cloud products. This role includes several of the following areas: AI hardware and infrastructure, networking services, international expansion, and regulatory compliance, all with an enterprise focus.

Requirements

JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
Experience advising on product compliance issues.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting new and emerging global regulations (e.g., NIS2, DORA, CRA, CAIDA), and developing knowledge on first of a kind issues.
Experience leading projects with clients and colleagues and directly advising the highest levels of executive leadership.
Experience in utilizing AI tools to streamline and scale legal support.
Experience advising enterprise providers of cloud services, networking services, or computing infrastructure/hardware.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent investigative, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain legal issues clearly and concisely to non-legal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic guidance to clients as they develop novel products, services and features, taking into account compliance/regulatory issues, company policy, and business needs.
Help solve policy, AI, privacy, intellectual property, licensing and security issues.
Advise on global legal and regulatory compliance issues that arise during international expansion or product launch, or because of regulatory change.
Support commercial legal and sales teams on complex, high-value agreement negotiations.
