That’s where you come in! As an Associate Game Producer for Magic Business Strategy, you’ll drive the cross-functional production and operational processes that bring Magic products to life for mass retail audiences. This role bridges creative, operational, and business strategy—ensuring our mass market offerings are planned, built, and delivered with excellence. You’ll work in close partnership with our product design team to shape and execute the portfolio strategy, with our vendor partners to ensure product requirements meet customer and shopper needs, with our ops & supply chain teams to ensure inventory sufficiency for business goals, and our game production teams to ensure successful delivery and creative alignment to product goals.

Requirements

  • Experience in production, project management, or product operations, ideally in consumer products, gaming, or entertainment.
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects from planning through execution.
  • Strong organization and tracking skills across rapidly changing timelines and deliverables.
  • Familiarity with vendor management and external partner collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to synthesize and share clear, actionable information.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, solve problems proactively, and adapt processes to evolving business needs.
  • Comfort managing both creative and logistical components of product lifecycles.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mass retail product development or consumer packaged goods (CPG).
  • Familiarity with the business dynamics of Magic: The Gathering® or comparable IP-driven businesses.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet, Excel, and Teams, or similar production management tools.
  • Understanding of requirements documentation and gated development processes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for tracking commercial and production activity for Magic’s mass market portfolio.
  • Track and manage product printing & inventory plans for mass market products, in partnership with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Establish and maintain horizontal processes and resources across the mass market business line (e.g., requirements documentation, production gates, communication cadences, partnership with franchise as related to mass market products).
  • Partner with mass market vendors and product strategy leads to define scope, schedules, and executional plans for product development; lead regular touchpoints to drive alignment and accountability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Packaging Design, Packaging Creative, Production & Editing, Product Architects, Finance, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Brand teams to ensure visibility and consistency in production efforts.
  • Input into and ensure maintenance of pricing documentation for mass market products, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for internal and external use.
  • Develop schedules for internal and external mass market communication as well as processes for keeping customer communications on track.
  • Identify and implement additional process improvements to support scalability, predictability, and transparency across all mass market efforts.
