Requirements

  • B.S. in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Working knowledge in statistics
  • Working knowledge in project management tools and disciplines
  • Ability to train technical and non-technical staff
  • Effective writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

Nice To Haves

  • Two years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency applying the principles of Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and World Class
  • Ability to lead a cross functional team
  • Project management experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support under general direction.
  • Assist management and engineering to specify, develop, justify, document, implement and sustain industrial processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Improve efficiency and capacity of processes in accordance with strategic objectives.
  • Investigate and recommend solutions to manufacturing challenges.
  • Develop and/or conduct experiments to identify root cause of problems.
  • Evaluate process capabilities and validate new equipment.
  • Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
  • Understand. Create. Simplify.
  • Other duties as assigned.
