About The Position

Norm also powers Norm Law, LLP, an affiliated AI-native law firm advising leading institutions on complex corporate matters. The Associate in the Private Equity group is a full-time attorney role at Norm Law. The Associate will work on high-impact deals and use AI agents to streamline drafting, diligence, and execution. The role collaborates closely with partners, clients, and technology teams to deliver efficient, precise, and data-driven legal services. The practice uses AI to reduce administrative work and allow attorneys to focus on strategic legal judgment and client engagement. Norm prefers team members to be fluent in AI through practical, hands-on use in their day-to-day work. Candidates should be prepared to discuss and demonstrate concrete AI tools, workflows, and outcomes during the interview process. Prior AI or technical experience is not required for this role.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD).
Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
3–6 years of experience in private equity transactions.
Strong drafting and communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Interest in applying technology to enhance traditional deal workflows.

Practical, hands-on use of AI in day-to-day work, with concrete examples of tools, workflows, and outcomes; prior AI or technical experience is not required.

Responsibilities

Use AI agents to generate, compare, and redline offering memoranda, purchase agreements, board materials, disclosure documents, and regulatory filings.
Use AI tools to conduct rapid document reviews, identify key terms, and prepare client-facing memos on complex due diligence materials.
Integrate AI agents into workflow management, signing and closing checklists, and coordination with counterparties.
Work with clients to demonstrate how AI-assisted workflows can improve accuracy, transparency, and deal velocity.
Collaborate with technology teams to further improve deal-process efficiency using AI.
Learn the firm's AI platforms and support deal teams with AI-enabled review and drafting.
Manage discrete deal components independently with AI support.
Lead AI-augmented workstreams in live transactions and improve efficiency and accuracy in document management and closing processes.
