For official Cosm opportunities, always visit www.cosm.com/careers. Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate Production Administrator to join our Creative Technology team. This role provides critical technical and editorial support to keep production running smoothly, with expertise in media management, asset tracking, and file handling. You will manage production databases, coordinate complex ingestion workflows, and support editorial and VFX asset pipelines while serving as a communication hub across departments. Working at the intersection of production operations and technical workflows, you will ensure data integrity, smooth asset flow, and seamless collaboration between teams. This entry- to mid-level individual contributor role offers the opportunity to grow your production management and technical operations skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Temporary Position: This is a six-month temporary assignment supporting Cosm. The selected individual will be employed and paid by a third-party staffing partner.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of production support, coordinator, or assistant editor experience
  • Media management and asset tracking workflow experience and understanding of file formats and asset management
  • Understanding or working knowledge of VFX and editorial production pipelines (Real Time and Broadcast a bonus)
  • File format knowledge and basic file handling/transcoding experience preferred
  • Experience with Production database management and organization (Shotgrid experience preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing production needs with strong collaborative skills
  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain production databases, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates
  • Coordinate and execute asset ingestion workflows for editorial and VFX teams
  • Support editorial asset management, including ingest, organization, and tracking
  • Manage VFX asset ingestion and pipeline support throughout production
  • Serve as primary liaison and communicator between production, editorial, VFX, and technical departments
  • Monitor file integrity, version control, and proper asset archival following studio standards
  • Troubleshoot media and asset issues, coordinating solutions across departments
  • Provide operational support during peak production periods and ensure smooth day-to-day production
