About The Position

The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech I performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License upon hire
  • Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee License upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program
  • Inpatient experience
  • Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs)
  • Previous experience with electronic health records (EHR)
