About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch. In this frontline role, the banker builds customer relationships and supports everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with banking products, services, and digital tools to help them manage their finances. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while partnering with branch teammates to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. It combines relationship building and customer service with branch growth, sound judgment, and adherence to risk controls. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career growth and mobility. The position is based at 17101 27th Ave NE, Marysville, Washington 98271. The schedule includes Saturdays, and the employee will flex between cash handling and customer banking activities. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the start date. The role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies, including standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, with comfort following structured processes and meeting accuracy and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach by phone, email, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to support customer needs.
Comfort with digital tools and technology, ability to learn new systems quickly, and confidence guiding customers in adopting helpful capabilities.
Ability to identify customer needs and connect them to appropriate solutions, including referrals when additional expertise is needed.

Responsibilities

Conduct discovery-driven conversations to understand customer needs and connect them with relevant banking products, services, and solutions.
Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to support branch growth and customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including new account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
Handle cash and perform teller-line activities, processing transactions accurately and maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support evolving banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service and exercise sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support.
Follow applicable risk and compliance requirements, identify and escalate concerns, and support timely issue remediation.
