About The Position

Wells Fargo is hiring an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for its National Branch. This frontline role builds customer relationships by supporting everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with appropriate banking products, services, and digital tools. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while working with branch teammates to provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Strong relationship building, sound judgment, and balancing service with growth are important to success. Wells Fargo training and coaching support career growth and mobility. The position supports branch operations by flexing between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support. The schedule includes Saturdays. SAFE registration is required at the time of employment, and Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date. Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies concerning financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background. A credit report may be reviewed, excluding the credit score, and additional ongoing screening may apply. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies, including standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.
Ability to follow policies and regulations, identify and escalate risk concerns, and exercise sound judgment.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, demonstrating comfort with structured processes, accuracy, and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach through calls, emails, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to support customer needs.

Handle cash and perform teller-line activities, accurately processing transactions while maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support evolving banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service while exercising sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists and connect customers to appropriate expertise.
Support branch operations by flexing between cash handling and customer banking activities.
Follow applicable policies and procedures, fulfill risk and compliance obligations, and timely escalate and remediate issues.
