About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch at the Crossroads-Freeport Blvd location in Sacramento, California. In this frontline role, the banker builds customer relationships by supporting everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with relevant banking products, services, and digital tools. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while collaborating with branch teammates to provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience. It requires relationship building, sound judgment, balancing service with growth, and accurate, compliant service within defined risk controls. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career growth and mobility. The schedule includes Saturdays, and the role flexes between cash handling and customer banking activities. SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the employee’s start date. The position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies, including standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.
A credit report may be reviewed, excluding the credit score, and additional ongoing screening may apply.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, with comfort in structured processes, accuracy, and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach by calls, emails, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to support customer needs.

Handle cash and perform teller-line activities, accurately processing transactions while maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support evolving banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service while exercising sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; identify, escalate, and help remediate issues and make sound risk decisions.
