About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch at the Harrison Blvd branch in Ogden, Utah. This frontline role builds customer relationships by supporting everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with relevant banking products, services, and digital tools to help them manage their finances. The position supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications, and works closely with branch teammates to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. The role balances customer service with branch growth and requires sound judgment, compliance with operational standards, and effective use of digital tools. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career growth and mobility. The schedule includes Saturdays, and the role flexes between cash handling and customer banking activities. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the start date. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies concerning financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, with comfort following structured processes and accuracy and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach by calls, emails, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to support customer needs.
Comfort with digital tools and technology, ability to learn new systems quickly, and ability to guide customers in adopting useful banking capabilities.

Responsibilities

Build lasting customer relationships through proactive, meaningful conversations that support financial well-being and deepen engagement.
Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer needs and connect them with relevant banking products, services, and solutions.
Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to support branch growth and customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including opening accounts, handling service requests, and supporting credit applications.
Perform cash handling and teller-line activities, accurately processing transactions while maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service and exercise sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Coordinate with branch teammates and make seamless handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support.
Follow applicable policies and procedures, fulfill risk and compliance obligations, and escalate or remediate issues appropriately.
