About The Position

Wells Fargo is hiring an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for its National Branch. This frontline role builds customer relationships and supports everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with relevant banking products, services, and digital tools. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while working with branch teammates to provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience. It combines relationship building and growth with sound judgment, accurate service, and compliance with operational and risk standards. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career growth and mobility. The position is based at 25694 US-290, Cypress, Texas. The schedule includes Saturdays. SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the employee’s start date. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies, including standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.
A credit report may be reviewed, excluding the credit score, and additional ongoing screening may apply.

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, with comfort following structured processes and meeting accuracy and service expectations.

Responsibilities

Build lasting customer relationships through proactive conversations that support financial well-being and deepen engagement.
Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer needs and connect customers with relevant banking products, services, and solutions.
Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to support branch growth and customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including opening accounts, handling service requests, and assisting with credit applications.
Perform cash handling and teller-line activities, processing transactions accurately and meeting compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance customer experience and support evolving banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service and exercise sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; identify and escalate concerns and remediate issues as appropriate.
