About The Position

Tri Counties Bank is hiring for a Teller I or Personal Banker I or II at its Redding Cypress location. The role provides customer-facing banking service, processes financial transactions, builds customer relationships, identifies financial needs, and refers or recommends relevant bank products and services. The Teller position focuses on accurate transaction processing, cash management, customer assistance, referrals, and outbound calls. The Personal Banker position combines teller services with new account openings, financial needs conversations, product recommendations, relationship management, and collaboration with specialized banking professionals. Tellers safeguard and balance cash funds, handle customer transactions, provide information and assistance, complete documentation and data entry, and maintain compliance with bank policies and applicable laws. They regularly use desktop applications for teller transactions, account maintenance, compliance, customer records, relationship management, currency transactions, internal communication, and timekeeping. Personal Bankers welcome customers, learn about their financial needs and goals, present relevant banking services and products, and follow through on solutions. They maintain customer interaction records and sales records, review results with the Branch Manager, support sales objectives, ensure accurate transaction processing and regulatory compliance, and may assist with training other branch employees. The hiring range is $18.00–$19.00 per hour for Teller I and $20.00–$23.00 per hour for Personal Banker I or II. Both positions include incentive opportunities; compensation may vary by location and qualifications and experience. The role may require lifting up to 25 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Effective selling and cross-selling skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective verbal and written communication skills are specified for Personal Bankers.
Ability to use personal computers and Windows-based programs.
Ability to successfully complete the Bank’s product and sales training courses.
For Personal Bankers, ability to complete appropriate certifications and be registered as a mortgage loan originator in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).

Responsibilities

Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, cashier’s checks, loan payments, and other teller services accurately and promptly.
Safeguard, balance, and maintain assigned cash funds and drawers within established limits.
Provide customer assistance, answer inquiries, research customer problems, and complete required documentation and data entry.
Identify customer financial needs and recommend or refer appropriate bank products and services.
Meet assigned referral goals and, for Personal Bankers, support sales objectives and maintain accurate sales records.
Make outbound calls to new and existing customers to maintain contact and address servicing needs.
Welcome customers and conduct conversations to understand their financial needs and goals.
Present relevant bank services and products, including checking and savings accounts, certificates of deposit, and digital banking services.
Record customer interactions in the relationship management database.
Collaborate with bank professionals in mortgage lending, investment advisory, commercial lending, treasury management, and other specialized services.
Maintain current knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Follow cash, security, and compliance procedures.
Assist with training branch team members when needed and support other team duties as assigned.
