About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for its National Branch in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. This frontline role builds customer relationships through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them to relevant banking products, services, and digital tools. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while collaborating with branch teammates to provide a consistent customer experience. It combines relationship building and customer service with growth, cash handling, and compliance responsibilities. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career growth and mobility. SAFE registration is required at the time of employment, and Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date. Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo standards regarding financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background. A credit report may be reviewed, excluding the credit score, and additional ongoing screening may apply. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies concerning financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.

Comfort with digital tools and technology, ability to learn new systems quickly, and confidence guiding customers in adopting useful banking capabilities.

Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to support branch growth and customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including opening accounts, handling service requests, and processing credit applications.
Perform cash handling and teller line activities, accurately processing transactions while maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support changing banking needs.
Provide accurate, compliant service and exercise sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates and coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; identify, escalate, and remediate issues as appropriate.
