Provides general, medical, and legal advocacy to victims of sexual assault and physical abuse. The role offers support, crisis intervention, information, and referrals to survivors of all ages, as well as to their friends and family members. Advocacy is provided in emergency departments throughout Snohomish County and by phone through a 24/7 advocate support line. The Associate Patient Advocate works collaboratively with medical staff, typically alongside a Forensic Nurse Examiner, to help ensure client needs are met. Services must be appropriate for clients across age groups, cultural backgrounds, and abilities. Driving may be necessary upon request; caregivers must comply with applicable state driving laws and provide proof of a driver license and auto insurance upon request. Providence describes its culture as patient-focused, whole-person care built on understanding, commitment, and mutual respect. It also notes that its benefits are designed to support employees and their families in wellness, professional growth, and financial security.
