The School of Human Evolution and Social Change (SHESC) at Arizona State University (ASU) is seeking an Associate or Full Professor with demonstrated expertise in the study of the human fossil record. This tenure-track/tenured, full-time, academic-year position is housed in SHESC and involves collaboration with the Institute of Human Origins (IHO). The successful candidate will conduct high-impact research, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, and contribute to public outreach. The research should address fundamental questions in hominin paleobiology, potentially incorporating cutting-edge approaches in functional morphology and/or early hominin developmental biology. The position is expected to start on August 16, 2027.
