Tenured Associate or Full Professor in Economics
About The Position
Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) invites applications for an tenured associate or full professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Economics. We seek candidates to join IU’s Department of Economics to lead research in areas such as Behavioral and Experimental Economics and Applied Microeconomics. Experience or interest in the use or development of artificial intelligence, machine learning, or computational tools is appreciated. These 10-month appointments would ideally start August 1, 2027, although an earlier or later start date is negotiable. Applications received by October 16, 2026, will receive full consideration, and applications will be accepted and reviewed until the positions are filled.
Requirements
- PhD in economics (or a related field).
- Commitment to excellence in scholarship and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level.
- Demonstrate a record of scholarly achievement appropriate for an appointment with tenure.

- Experience or interest in the use or development of artificial intelligence, machine learning, or computational tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop and/or maintain a robust research portfolio conducting cutting-edge research both as a corresponding principal investigator and a collaborating investigator.
- Teach and mentor undergraduate and/or graduate students as designated by the department chairperson.
- Actively provide service within the department, school and university alongside active engagement with the profession and/or the community.
- Excel in research and provide strong performance in teaching and service.
