About The Position

Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) invites applications for an Associate or Full Professor position in clinical psychology within the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences. This is part of a cluster hire in clinical psychology. The research specialization within clinical psychology is open. The Clinical Psychological Science Program at IUB focuses on advancing the understanding, assessment, prevention, and treatment of mental health problems through research spanning basic discovery to population-level impact. The program is accredited by PCSAS and APA, administers an NIMH T32 research training program, and offers a unique Clinical Psychological Science Bachelor of Science degree. The university seeks applicants whose research and teaching will complement and expand the program's expertise and scientific perspectives. These 10-month appointments are ideally set to begin August 1, 2027, with negotiable start dates. Applications received by November 15, 2026, will receive full consideration, and applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. Tenure status will be determined by the candidate's record and adherence to university standards.

Requirements

  • PhD in psychology (or a related field).
  • Commitment to excellence in scholarship and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level.
  • Demonstrated record of scholarly achievement appropriate for a tenured appointment.
  • Experience as lead investigator of extramurally funded research.
  • Current funding or strong potential to secure external funding.
  • Established record of publications and scholarly work.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining a robust research portfolio, including pursuing and obtaining extramural research funding as a principal investigator and collaborating investigator.

  • Active engagement with the profession and/or the community.
