About The Position

The Associate Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient and effective management of energy and environmental programs and projects. This role involves identifying opportunities for process improvements, sharing best practices, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and conducting thorough analyses of program operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and data analysis skills, enjoy problem-solving, and possess experience or knowledge of Energy Efficiency programs. You will collaborate with an enthusiastic, skilled, and multidisciplinary team as well as national experts to achieve client goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)
  • 1+ year(s) professional experience in administration, operational support, data analysis, energy and/or related experience
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the utility market (specifically energy efficiency, demand response, and distributed energy resource programs and markets).
  • Experience reviewing blueprints, floor plans and other documentation related to building equipment specifications
  • Experience with Power BI (or similar data visualization tool).
  • Experience with advanced Microsoft data software such as SharePoint Lists and Power Automate.
  • Experience with data management, invoicing and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the energy efficiency team ensuring that the evaluation, implementation, and verification of utility-sponsored energy efficiency projects are successfully executed.
  • Develop and share best practices across the team and organization.
  • Collaborate with IT, Marketing, and Customer Care teams.
  • Conduct analyses to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage key deliverables such as reporting, forecasting, client invoices and key performance indicators (KPI).
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage client-facing presentations.
  • Assist with processing incoming project applications and technical review.
  • Review project application forms and submittits to ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.
  • Assign project applications for further processing and review per program policies and procedures.
  • Assist with customer and contractor inquiries.
  • Coordinate quality control follow-up on project inspections and customer surveys as appropriate.
