About The Position

Team Rubicon (TR) is seeking an Associate, Mission Support (Logistics) to join their Programs x Domestic Operations – Mission Support (MSB) team. This role will collaboratively work within their team and cross-functional teams, managing competing priorities and keeping stakeholders informed. The Associate will provide functional support to Team Rubicon’s Logistics, overseeing day-to-day operations including facilities, fleet, trailers, equipment caches, and warehouse supplies, ensuring timely execution across multiple locations. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, comfort with competing priorities, and the ability to collaborate across teams. The Associate will connect branch teams with logistics support, promote consistent processes, and enhance TR's rapid local disaster response capabilities. This role reports to TR’s Manager, Mission Support (Logistics) and is based 2-3 days a week out of the National Operations Center (NOC) in Atlanta, GA.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in the military, disaster response, emergency management or first responder fields
  • Proven record of personnel management experience such as recruiting, managing, training, and developing employees and volunteers
  • Experienced with technology tools and in remote working for communicating and coordinating with a large network of TR staff members, Greyshirts (volunteers), and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized, communicate clearly, manage multiple priorities, and contribute effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Availability to support evening and weekend meetings, activations, events, and operational periods when required
  • Reliable transportation is required for local travel.
  • At least 25% non-local travel to support broader organizational logistics and disaster response activities

Nice To Haves

  • Successful past performance in leading volunteers is highly desired
  • Knowledge or past experience in coordinating international medical logistics or medical supplies inventories and procurement is not required but would be considered an added benefit to this position

Responsibilities

  • Execute Team Rubicon’s strategy across a designated area to enhance our ability to respond rapidly and locally to disasters.
  • Participate in the development of standards, policies, and processes for response, recovery, and mitigation operations.
  • Connect the Branch with the representative functional leader through matrixed reporting and coordination.
  • Support localized responses and operations management.
  • Mentor functional Greyshirt volunteer leaders.
  • As needed, provide EOC support and disaster response coordination across relevant agencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of Team Rubicon’s mission.
  • Support warehouse operations, including procurement, receiving, storage, organization, inventory control, and distribution of mission-critical equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and asset accountability through regular audits, cycle counts, reconciliation efforts, inventory reporting, and trend analysis.
  • Coordinate daily on-site support requirements for the National Operations Center, including receiving and sending packages, scheduling and monitoring of building maintenance, and general upkeep of the facility.
  • Track the movement, status, and availability of fleet vehicles, trailers, equipment, and supplies to identify replenishment requirements, reduce shortages, and improve resource availability.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair schedules for vehicles, trailers, and operational equipment, ensuring assets remain deployable and compliant.
  • Monitor logistics and maintenance costs, maintain records, and support efficient, compliant resource management to support data-driven resource planning.
  • Coordinate with branch teams, logistics leadership, and cross-functional partners to support aligned execution and clear communication.
  • Assist in developing, documenting, and applying standards, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency, resource allocation, and disaster response capabilities.
  • Serve as a key member of the Emergency Operations Team (EOT) during disaster situations.
  • Assume a designated position within the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and perform all duties assigned by the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) leadership.
  • Participate in the activation, operation, and deactivation of the EOC, ensuring effective response coordination.
  • Provide direct support in coordinating response activities with local, state, federal, and non-governmental agencies.
  • Assist in developing and implementing disaster response strategies, ensuring resources are deployed efficiently.
  • Facilitate communication between field operations, the EOC, and external stakeholders.
