About The Position

Eurofins Food Chemistry Madison is seeking an Associate Microbiologist to join their growing team. The laboratory, established in 2021 and ISO 17025 accredited, specializes in food chemistry testing for infant formula, sole-source nutrition products, hemp and CBD, dietary supplements, and botanicals. The role involves testing a variety of instrumentation including UPLC, HPLC, GC, and LCMS technologies, offering an innovative and collaborative team environment with opportunities for expertise development. Requirements

4 year applicable degree.
Ability to learn new tasks
Ability to think critically and solve problems quickly and efficiently
Reside within a commutable distance to Madison, WI

Nice To Haves

4 year degree can be supplemented with a combination of experience & an associate degree
Relevant experience preferred

Responsibilities

Use of proper handling procedures and aseptic technique.
Prepare composites of routine samples.
Perform initial dilutions and enrichments of samples.
Perform sample plating for quantification.
Perform transfers.
Perform instrumentation work with guidance as needed.
Perform diagnostics and reporting work with guidance as needed.
Perform project work with guidance as needed.
Perform routine cleaning and quality checks for equipment.
Perform routine cleaning of work areas.
Media preparation and quality control, including all appropriate documentation.
Autoclave operation.
Document work and maintain laboratory records.
Plan for assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively schedule multiple assignments.
Contributes to a cohesive team environment.
Maintains a clean and safe laboratory work environment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
