About The Position

Seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Associate to join the US M&A team. This role involves building advanced financial models, identifying process improvements, supporting deal teams, and executing strategic initiatives. The Associate will research and analyze company and industry information, provide direction to Analysts, and work independently with limited guidance.

Requirements

3+ years of relevant experience/exposure to investment banking
An undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, with an outstanding record of academic achievement.
Knowledge of capital markets, investment banking products and applicable regulations
Highly motivated, with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Demonstrates solid deal/transaction execution and/or project management skills
Detail oriented with strong quantitative analytics, and financial modeling skills
Deep, sophisticated understanding of accounting and finance
Excellent mathematical, writing, verbal communication and computer skills
Ability to manage expectations of senior bankers while working on multiple projects simultaneously
Effective leadership, collaboration and coaching skills
Sound judgement, problem solving, and decision-making capabilities
Commitment to supporting and satisfying internal bankers and external customers

Responsibilities

Build advanced financial models to value potential and actual clients and/or industries, leveraging broad understanding of valuation and broad finance/accounting topics
Identify improvements to processes and propose solutions to complete tasks more efficiently
Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders
Supports deal teams in development, presentation, and winning mandates
Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Researches and analyzes company and industry financial and operating information
Provides direction and feedback to Analysts; accountable for development and mentoring of Analysts
Works mostly independently, with more limited guidance from deal teams
