Requirements
- A curious and ambitious mentality.
- Experience in retail sales, or merchandising.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
- Ability influence without authority and collaborate efficiently with many diverse teams.
- Experience using data and analytics to derive insights.
- Financial, business and retail knowledge.
- Skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Teams and comfortable working with various software platforms.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with various colleagues in merchandising, operations, finance, supply chain, e-commerce, marketing and other divisions to achieve category objectives.
- Build positive relationships with category vendors and external partners.
- Assists in achieving sales, profit and inventory targets with a basic understanding of financial metrics
- Responsible for all aspects involving item/article creation
- Works to ensure all purchase order deadlines are met and executes PO updates as required
- Creates and maintains all weekly and seasonal sales reports that help drive assortment planning and completes any requested ad hoc reporting
- Executes weekly actions for markdowns, promotional downloads, PO tracking, etc.
- Ensures correct pricing is uploaded into systems and resolves any pricing/scanning issues at store level
- Validates all marketing assets prior to effective dates for flyers, in-store signage, and campaigns
- Assists with sample management
