About The Position

Our therapists care about individual and community growth. They support client health and wellness in their work and are passionate to conduct individual and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, narrative, emotion focused therapy, family systems. Assess clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Complete risk assessments and provide crisis intervention support as needed. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to provide comprehensive care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Stay informed about current research and best practices in the behavioral health field. This work is profound, requiring robust foundations. Many of our clients have experienced cultural trauma and want to connect with therapists who may understand their origin story.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field
  • Valid Oregon license/certificate to deliver mental health care

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and ability to serve Black/African, Latino/Hispanic, and/or Native/Indigenous populations from a racial trauma lens
  • Willingness to work with clients who ascribe to religious/spiritual beliefs as protective factors
