About The Position

The Medical Assistant (MA) I works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform assigned duties and assist in providing basic patient care. The role addresses patient care needs through both administrative and clinical duties and follows established policies, procedures, and regulations. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited medical assistant school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting; or graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program; or completion of two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces; or at least one year of medical assistant work experience that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0–6 months).

Nice To Haves

Six months of prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Six months of previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an electronic health record (EHR).
