About The Position

The Associate Mechanical Engineering role participates in the design of detail parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures, mission equipment, and mechanical systems. The engineer applies basic engineering design and/or analytical theory and uses an understanding of structural analysis in integrated system design. Responsibilities include researching, developing layouts, preparing engineering drawings, and coordinating design activities with Tooling, Flight Sciences, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure designs meet requirements at minimum cost. Designs are created using three-dimensional solid modeling CAD tools, and the work is performed with senior-level design engineers. The role offers work on a variety of tasks and aircraft systems across multiple aircraft platforms.
