About The Position

The General Manager, referred to in the description as the Scenter Manager, leads day-to-day operations at a Scenthound location. The role emphasizes leadership, sales, exceptional customer service, and management of key performance indicators such as Labor Efficiency Ratio, Average Ticket Price, and Rebook Ratio. The manager is expected to be a hands-on leader who promotes dog wellness and safety, develops employees, upholds service and sanitation standards, and creates a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

Management experience.
Customer service experience, such as in retail or restaurants.
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and stamina to stand for long periods.
Reliable transportation.
Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment.
Effective communication with team members and dog parents.
Leadership, coaching, and mentorship skills.
Problem-solving ability.
Attention to detail.
Time-management skills, including the ability to create an efficient schedule.

Responsibilities

Drive membership sales through health and wellness education.
Maintain a knowledgeable team that prioritizes dog wellness and safety.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship for Scenter employees.
Develop employees through leadership, training, and performance reviews.
Uphold quality standards through hands-on participation, employee audits, and training.
Communicate information from upper management to the team promptly and accurately.
Identify where assistance is needed and provide support to keep the Scenter on schedule.
Create an environment that encourages teamwork, open communication, and Scenthound values.
Manage client expectations and resolve customer concerns.
Ensure the safety of dogs and team members at all times.
Follow Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices.
Manage day-to-day operations with an emphasis on key performance indicators, including Labor Efficiency Ratio, Average Ticket Price, and Rebook Ratio.
Recruit and hire employees and build a happy, effective team.
Create efficient schedules and hold oneself and others accountable for high-quality service.
