About The Position

Northrop Grumman is hiring an Associate Electrical Engineer or Electrical Engineer for its Strategic Deterrent Systems Division within the Defense Systems sector in Huntsville, Alabama. The role supports the development of mission-critical defense solutions and may be filled at either the Associate Electrical Engineer (T01) or Electrical Engineer (T02) level. Relocation assistance may be available. Travel is required approximately 10% of the time. A clearance is not required to start, but the candidate must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance and Special Access Program access within a reasonable period as determined by the company.

Requirements

Be completing or have completed a degree from an accredited institution.
Major or have majored in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or Computer Science.
Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite.
Be able to obtain Special Access Program access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher.
Current Northrop Grumman intern.

Responsibilities

Review customer requests for proposals and requests for quotations and help identify technical requirements and risks.
Support preliminary designs, system concepts, and high-level architectures that address customer needs.
Prepare technical proposal content, including system descriptions and design summaries.
Develop block diagrams, simple drawings, and figures for proposals.
Prepare technical compliance matrices and responses to requirements.
Perform design analysis.
