Associate Manufacturing Engineer
About The Position
Abbott’s diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the world. The Associate Manufacturing Engineer position is based in Irving, Texas, within the Core Lab division. Under general supervision, the role is responsible for designing new products and processes and improving and maintaining existing products. The engineer may execute less complex projects and conduct design analysis on components or assemblies to help ensure designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, and reliable. The role also communicates with other engineering personnel to coordinate interrelated design work and support project completion. Travel is 10% of the time.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience.
Responsibilities
- Design new products and processes.
- Improve and maintain existing products.
- Conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies to support development and help ensure designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, and reliable.
- Communicate with other engineering personnel to coordinate interrelated design work and assure project completion.
- Execute less complex projects as applicable.
