About The Position

This role is for the Associate Manager Quality Engineering (Cable/Harness/Assembly) within the Quality Assurance team. The team is responsible for delivering high-quality electronic assemblies, machined and welded parts, and safety-critical systems for defense and commercial customers. The Associate Manager will lead the Quality Assurance function supporting the Cable/Harness & Electro-Mechanical Assembly area. This role offers the chance to shape critical engineering processes, mentor a talented team, and directly impact the delivery of mission-critical systems.

Requirements

STEM degree at the Bachelor's level or higher, or equivalent experience/combined education
Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (ie SAP, Apriso, etc.)
Experience with root cause analysis and evaluations
Experience working successfully in a team environment.
Must be able to obtain a Secret Security clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

STEM degree at Bachelor's level or higher preferred.
Experience with quality assurance in a manufacturing environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience leading a group of technical individuals.
Experience with cable/harness and electro/mechanical assembly standards
Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001 and NQA-1/10CFR50 Appendix B and/or auditing experience with these standards
Experience in Quality, Engineering and/or Production Operations
Experience with MRB and dispositioning of nonconformances
Experience writing technical reports
Experience interfacing and interacting with DCMA and/or other government customers
Certified Green Belt or experience with lean manufacturing and failure analysis
Certifications or knowledge of IPC-610, IPC-620, J-STD-001

Responsibilities

Supervise direct reports, including career development, performance reviews, and staffing.
Oversee quality-engineering work assignments such as quoting, capacity planning, budgeting, and capital planning.
Lead internal and external IPT meetings, corrective-action boards, and quality-metric reviews.
Implement mistake-proofing, continuous-improvement initiatives, and ISO 9001/AS9100 compliance.
Collaborate with other Lockheed Martin sites to harmonize processes and achieve mission success.
