  • A degree in PR, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience with Muckrack, Meltwater, and Critical Mention.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint) and Slack.
  • A team player that shares credit, shows respect, and is always looking for opportunities to improve writing skills and grow professionally.

  • Be the Information Hub: Organize resources and manage internal communications for the media team, including compiling and sharing editor updates, industry news, and upcoming editorial calendars.
  • Dig for the Story: Conduct research, including media audits on competitors or new journalists, to provide thoughtful insights and POVs that help shape campaign strategy.
  • Secure the Coverage: Draft compelling pitches, build media lists, and conduct outreach to secure placements for talent photos, events, and campaign launches.
  • Drive the Process: Assist with scheduling, creating agendas, and drafting recap notes for account team calls and internal meetings.
  • Own the Logistics: Develop first drafts of media briefing documents and assist with scheduling and logistics for celebrity spokesperson interviews.
  • Master the Activation: Provide on-the-ground support for brand events and activations. Engage with media, talent, and photographers on-site to facilitate earned media moments.
  • Sharp Eye for Detail: Ensure all media materials, from pitch letters to follow-ups, are top-notch and error-free.
  • Ability To Navigate the New: Demonstrate curiosity for emerging media, including how LLMs/AI and social search are changing the PR industry.
  • Drive Collaboration: Proactively participate in agency brainstorms for client programs, bringing a media-first lens.
  • Stay Organized: Manage multiple tasks across several accounts simultaneously while maintaining organization and professional maturity.
  • Stay Cool Under Pressure: Juggle tight deadlines and fast-moving requests from various teams.
  • Be Agile: Work evenings and/or weekends to accommodate client events and after-hours work as needed.
