About The Position

2K is seeking a player-obsessed Associate Manager, Community to help grow and run the community program for WWE 2K, one of the most passionate fanbases in sports gaming. This role will report to the Manager, Social Media and Community Marketing and will be instrumental in shaping the community strategy across platforms like Discord, Reddit, YouTube, and Steam. The goal is to drive the health, growth, and sentiment of the WWE 2K community year over year, acting as a crucial link between players and internal teams. This role will translate community insights into actionable strategies and help create engaging moments that encourage player participation, retention, and advocacy.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in community management, community strategy, or player/creator relations.
  • Experience in building and executing community programs from strategy through measurement.
  • Strong understanding of WWE 2K or comparable live/sports game franchises, with fluency in the culture and expectations of their players.
  • Deep, practical knowledge of community platforms and tooling: Discord (including bots and integrations), Reddit, Steam, YouTube, Twitch.
  • Proficiency in using community management/listening platforms.
  • Ability to translate community sentiment into clear recommendations that inform product, marketing, and communications decisions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the judgment to strike the right tone in celebratory, technical, and sensitive moments.
  • Proven ability to build trust and collaborate across diverse internal stakeholders (developers, marketers, PR, legal, customer support).
  • Comfortable with data – able to pull together analysis-based recaps and make a case with numbers and narrative.
  • Strong EQ, composure under pressure, and a proactive approach to handling challenging situations in public forums.
  • A self-starter who takes ownership, manages multiple priorities, and thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Passion for gaming, sports, and entertainment culture, and a real interest in WWE fandom.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with creative tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut).
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, English, a related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the annual and per-beat community strategy for WWE 2K, defining objectives, audience priorities, KPIs, and measures of success in partnership with Marketing, Social, and Communications.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of official WWE 2K community platforms (Discord, Reddit, Steam Community), setting the tone, structure, and programming.
  • Build and maintain the community calendar aligned with the franchise beat plan, title marketing campaigns, seasonal content updates, and WWE tentpole moments.
  • Execute programs to grow retention and advocacy across the player lifecycle, including onboarding new players, re-engaging lapsed players, and deepening investment from loyal players.
  • Cultivate and recognize community advocates (creators, moderators, superfans) through reward programs and by providing them a platform.
  • Serve as the voice of the player internally by capturing, prioritizing, and escalating community sentiment, feature requests, and emerging issues to internal stakeholders through a disciplined feedback loop process.
  • Support Marketing, Product Management, Customer Success, Quality Assurance, and Studio teams by surfacing community concerns or escalations and directing players to appropriate resolution channels.
  • Own day-to-day community sentiment reporting, tracking engagement, sentiment, and audience trends across owned and fan-run spaces, and delivering clear, actionable recaps to inform roadmap and marketing decisions.
  • Represent 2K and development partners with good judgment in public community spaces, collaborating with senior team members during high-visibility or sensitive situations.
  • Help maintain community moderation standards and guidelines, and support the management of moderator programs and external vendor partners, ensuring a consistent quality bar.
