About The Position

Perform moderately complex repair of equipment and facilities electro/mechanical systems. Diagnose, troubleshoot, test and repair facilities equipment failures. Follows all company safety, attendance and security procedures and strives to provide a safe working environment for all associates. Responds to requests and job tasks on all types of equipment and applies a high level of diagnostic and root cause analysis for troubleshooting. Works from mechanical and/or electrical schematic drawings, sketches, manuals, specifications, and written and/or oral instructions; understands equipment principles of operation; interacts with equipment vendors. Partners with all mechanics; shares technical knowledge; communicates with all team members and customers. Performs predictive and preventive maintenance tasks on all equipment and facilities in accordance with established testing and to maintain/extend useful life of all equipment. Utilize Mill, Lathe, CNC, and 3D printing technologies to manufacture parts and tooling components. Works with low voltage AC and DC systems up to 480V/3 phase. Services electronic systems at the module level including PLCs, digital controllers, and PCs used for monitoring and/or system control. Has a working knowledge PLC and Server Control Logic. Uses hand tools, power tools, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other monitoring and testing equipment. Uses a PC proficiently for MSOffice, Notes, and other PC-based applications (e.g., PLC ladder logic diagnostic analysis and program interfacing, building monitoring software, etc). Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven proficiency at a proficient level in automated electrical equipment, and full capability to perform a broad range of electro-mechanical repairs.
  • Must demonstrate ability to be very detailed oriented, organized, and effective at time management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction; excellent oral/written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the ability to climb and work at heights of up to 70 feet.
  • Must have the ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as assigned; may be called on off hours for emergency consultation or call-in service.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and training certifications in electro-mechanical or machining trades

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience working with ASRS shuttle systems, tilt tray and other high-speed sortation, machine shop equipment and automated packaging machinery.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years related maintenance experience in Distribution, Machining/Millwright or Manufacturing, or 3 years of experience with an associate degree in related trades.
