About The Position

This is a teaching-focused role with strong student engagement, requiring experience teaching across the Australian curriculum. It is a full-time appointment on a fixed-term basis for 18 months. The role involves developing expertise in teaching Primary teacher education with increasing autonomy, supporting student learning, mentoring students on professional experience placements, and offering advice and guidance. The Associate Lecturer will undertake teaching and assessment in relevant units, contribute to assessment practices, and engage in Scholarship of Learning and Teaching activities. The Graduate School of Education at the University of Western Australia has a tradition of excellence and an ambitious strategic plan focused on research, innovative teaching, and external engagement.

Requirements

  • A completed Master of Education degree, or higher and/or willingness to undertake study towards a doctorate in education.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver innovative and engaging teaching in your area of expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise teaching and assessment activities to support student learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate well to staff and students at all levels.
  • Evidence of a commitment to equity and diversity principles.
  • Relevant rights to work in Australia.
  • A current National Police Clearance.
  • A Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities
