The Department of Education at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer/Supervisor positions. Cal Poly Pomona is one of three polytechnic universities in the 22-campus California State University system, known for its learn-by-doing approach and Teacher Scholar Model. The university has nearly 30,000 students and over 1,400 faculty, offering 54 baccalaureate, 29 master’s degree programs, 11 credential and certificate programs, and a doctorate in educational leadership. The College of Education and Integrative Studies focuses on meeting the needs of students in its communities, educating them to become qualified leaders, and is committed to diversity, ethics, social justice, and life-long learning. The college emphasizes innovation, integrative thinking, reflective practice, collaborative action, and learning by doing, with 1,376 students and 41 faculty. The department offers credential programs in Education Specialist, Multiple Subject, and Single Subject, added authorizations, and a Master of Arts in Education. The temporary faculty pool is continuously open, with positions filled based on student enrollment and funding. Candidates may need to be available to begin teaching on short notice. The Fall term runs from late August to mid-December, and the Spring term from mid-January to mid-May, with potential Summer Session opportunities.
