About The Position
This is a continuous recruitment posting for Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer positions in Chemistry or Biochemistry within the College of Letters and Science, School of Biology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry at UW-Stevens Point. While there may not be an immediate need, applications are accepted to build a pool of candidates for future part-time opportunities. Successful applicants will be considered for future needs and their applications will be kept on file. These positions are hired on a per-course basis each semester, and teaching one semester does not guarantee assignment in the following semester. Teaching loads can range from 1-12 credits per semester. While the posting indicates an on-site position, partially remote and remote opportunities may become available.
Requirements
- Earned doctorate in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
- Experience in collaborative and/or inclusionary settings.
- Demonstrated commitment to student success.
- Experience and evidence of success with college level instruction.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
- Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
- Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
