Associate IT Service Technician
About The Position
The Associate IT Service Technician completes assigned lab orders within the normal shift schedule, follows Insight ISO policies and procedures, and follows and signs off on work instructions when work is complete. The technician submits signed work instructions to their manager and is accountable for meeting or exceeding individual team goals. The role involves verifying parts and quantities against pick lists, using the ERP system to unpack orders, completing work instructions, identifying and reporting non-conforming products or instruction discrepancies, preparing shipping labels, and recording order tracking and other relevant information in the system. The technician also maintains a clean and safe work area and notifies the manager when work is complete to receive further assignments. This position is fully onsite at Insight’s Fort Worth, Texas office, with a 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. CST shift. The listed salary is $20.00 per hour.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a high-volume production environment.
- Ability to multitask, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints in a timely fashion.
- Basic understanding of computer operating systems.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adhere to tight Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Willingness to learn on the go.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of SAP.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned lab orders within the normal shift schedule.
- Understand and comply with Insight ISO policies and procedures.
- Follow work instructions to completion, sign off when work is complete, and submit signed instructions to the manager.
- Meet or exceed individual team goals.
- Verify and count all parts and quantities listed on each pick list before placing items on the bench.
- Continuously check the ERP system to systematically unpack orders.
- Immediately notify the manager of non-conforming products or discrepancies in work instructions.
- Create shipping labels and apply them to packaging.
- Close out orders by recording tracking information and other pertinent information in the system.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Adhere to safety standards and immediately correct or report unsafe conditions.
- Notify the manager when work is complete to receive the next tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
