Associate IT Service Technician
About The Position
The Associate IT Service Technician completes assigned lab orders within the normal shift schedule while following Insight’s ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions. The technician verifies parts and quantities, processes orders through the ERP system, reports discrepancies or non-conforming products, and records shipping and tracking information. The role also includes maintaining a clean and safe work area, meeting individual and team goals, and notifying a manager when work is complete or assistance is needed. This is a fully onsite position in Insight’s Fort Worth, Texas office, with a shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. CST. The listed pay is $20.00 per hour.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a high-volume production environment.
- Ability to multitask, with strong organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints in a timely fashion.
- Basic understanding of computer operating systems.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adhere to tight Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Willingness to learn on the go.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of SAP.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned lab orders within the normal shift schedule.
- Understand and comply with Insight ISO policies and procedures.
- Follow work instructions through completion, sign them off, and submit signed instructions to the manager.
- Verify and count all parts and quantities listed on each pick list before placing them on the bench.
- Continuously check the ERP system to systematically unpack orders.
- Immediately notify the manager of non-conforming products or discrepancies in work instructions.
- Create shipping labels and apply them to packaging.
- Close out orders by recording tracking information and other pertinent information in the system.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Adhere to safety standards and immediately correct or report unsafe conditions.
- Notify the manager when work is complete to receive the next assignment.
- Meet or exceed individual team goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
