About The Position

The Associate Interior Designer will contribute to workplace interior design and fit-out projects from concept through completion. Working under the Lead Designer on internal strategy calls and alongside clients, architects, contractors, and other design professionals, the designer will help translate client requirements into functional, visually appealing workspace solutions. The role includes research, space planning, concept development, presentations, material proposals, drawings, and collaboration with execution support to help deliver designs.

This is a 100% work-from-home position with a day schedule of 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Philippine Time and flexible hours. Employees may adjust their schedule provided there is sufficient overlap with the client team in India for collaboration.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience in interior design.
• At least 1 year of relevant workplace or commercial office design experience.
• Experience in space planning, layout development, and translating design concepts into practical workspace solutions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting, technical drawings, and space planning.
• Proficiency in SketchUp for 3D modeling and visualizing interior spaces.
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for preparing and enhancing design presentations and client-facing materials.
• Strong creativity, conceptualization, and visualization skills, with the ability to develop functional and visually appealing interior design concepts.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to explain design ideas, share recommendations, and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Autodesk Revit; the team plans to provide training and transition toward using the software.
• Experience with 3D rendering software to enhance design visualizations and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Undertake design projects from concept to completion.
• Coordinate and execute interior design and fit-out solutions for projects under the supervision of the Lead Designer during internal strategy calls.
• Contribute to meetings using effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Determine project goals and client requirements with the Lead Designer.
• Interpret and translate customer needs into space plans.
• Develop concept designs and present creative interior proposals.
• Research and collect initial ideas and key project information.
• Discuss project requirements in detail with colleagues and clients.
• Propose materials within the set budget.
• Conduct project feasibility studies.
• Research and gather information and photographs related to projects.
• Produce sample boards for client presentations.
• Prepare detailed space plans, often using CAD or Revit software.
• Work as part of a team with other designers.
• Work with quantity surveyors to establish costs and work schedules on larger projects.
• Collaborate with architects and other design professionals to determine the best use of space.
• Work with the client and other departments to finalize corporate design, 3D, and GFC drawings.
• Collaborate with the execution support team to help ensure designs are implemented seamlessly.
• Research and follow industry changes, developments, and best practices in design and materials.
• Keep up to date with design-industry developments and trends through websites, magazines, blogs, and other sources.
