About The Position

The Associate I, Retail Sales Floor ensures the sales floor is stocked, organized, clean, and presentable. The Associate interacts with customers, responds to their questions, and provides excellent customer service. The role also includes maintaining the cleanliness of restrooms and following retail center policies and safety procedures. This is a part-time position at the Woodland Park Store, paying $16.51 per hour. The position must be available to work weekends and may require a varied schedule including evenings, holidays, and occasional overtime.

Requirements

• Ability to use judgment to assess product quality and value and determine pricing, researching value as necessary.

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
• Ability to work a varied schedule that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays, with occasional overtime.
• Must be available to work weekends.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of retail experience.
• Prior visual merchandising experience.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed minimum productivity standards, expectations, and key performance indicators for assigned duties.
• Price products according to Goodwill quality and value standards, including researching item value online or using company tools and standards as needed.
• Keep the sales floor clean and organized by cleaning and organizing shelves and racks, picking items up from the floor, putting away products from racks, carts, or baskets, and returning unwanted items to their proper locations.
• Merchandise sales floor areas to standard by categorizing, colorizing, and sizing products, and make decisions about product placement to improve the customer shopping experience and increase sales.
• Communicate targeted sales-floor product needs to the manager on duty to assist production.
• Provide excellent service to staff and customers, follow the 10-foot rule, and answer product questions.
• Rotate or remove old and unsold products from the sales floor in a timely manner to refresh product selection.
• Identify and pull e-commerce products from the sales floor.
• Follow all retail center policies, procedures, and safety processes.
• Cross-train in other departments or areas and provide backup for other areas as required.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required.
