About The Position

Marsh is seeking a QSG SWIFT Placement Specialist for its Chicago location. The role manages a book of small business placements, handles new business quoting, and collaborates across the organization to deliver Businessowners Policy (BOP) and other casualty-based solutions. The specialist matches clients’ insurance needs with appropriate carrier coverage and coordinates with advisors and client executives to evaluate and select suitable quotes. The position is described as an individual-contributor role involving independent assignment management, project work, support for teammates, and collaboration with stakeholders.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in a commercial insurance environment, with a strong focus on small commercial accounts.
Demonstrated expertise in Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance products and services.
P&C license, or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.

Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

Advise clients on small commercial risks and negotiate transactions to meet their needs.
Oversee timely production and follow-up of account, program, and policy documentation.
Assist in identifying and pursuing opportunities to acquire new clients and projects.
Independently manage assignments and support senior brokers in serving clients with a range of small commercial needs.
Build and maintain relationships with insurers, clients, and colleagues to deliver comprehensive solutions.
Manage a book of small business placements and handle new business quoting.
Collaborate within the organization to deliver BOP and other casualty-based solutions.
Match clients’ insurance needs with appropriate carrier coverage.
Coordinate with advisors and client executives to evaluate and select insurance carrier quotes for clients.
