About The Position

Looking to build your accounting career in a hands-on, operations-focused environment? In this role, you’ll take ownership of construction invoice processing and partner with Operations Managers on tool purchase requests. You’ll apply GAAP principles in real-world scenarios, ensure invoice accuracy through strong controls, and work directly with field teams and vendors, making a meaningful impact on day-to-day business operations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic knowledge of GAAP, company accounting principles, procedures, and practices.
Comfort with analyzing and researching data in company accounting and work planning software systems.
Interest in understanding the construction work and processes of internal customers.
Proficient with the use of personal computers including spreadsheet applications when conducting analysis.
Communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to resolve internal/external customer issues.
Ability to work with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds; ability to work as a member of a team.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines independently, with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

Three years of accounting clerk experience.
Accounting experience with a construction or project management business.

Responsibilities

Provide correct accounting to Accounts Payable through 10-key entry into SAP database.
Make timely payments to obtain 2% discounts on net 10 terms.
Audit invoices for accuracy and report findings to approving manager.
Reconcile and research invoices with bad accounting in multiple databases.
Enter capital tool requests into the SAP database.
Assist with adjusting entries required under GAAP.
Consolidate and report operation financials.
Resolve internal and external customer issues.
