Requirements

• PhD required; graduate degree in nursing
• Demonstrate an independent research program with sustained, peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals.
• Evidence of external research funding, such as NIH, HRSA, CDC, or foundation grants, as Principal Investigator (PI) or Co-PI.
• Clear trajectory toward continued scholarly growth and national recognition in their area of expertise.
• Documented record of effective teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate levels (didactic and clinical).
• Evidence of mentoring students, junior faculty, or postdoctoral fellows in research or professional development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow a strong program of research
• Maintain a sustained and externally funded research program with measurable impact.
• Publish in reputable peer-reviewed nationally recognized journals
• Prepare, teach and evaluate assigned courses
• Use teaching strategies appropriate to learning needs
• Participate in College and University committees
• Supervise student research, chair and serve on doctoral dissertation and/or DNP project Committees
• Mentor junior faculty members regarding teaching, scholarship, and promotion
• Perform related duties as assigned
