About The Position

As an Associate Forward Deployed Engineer at Databricks, you will work hands-on with enterprise customers to build and productionize data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform. This early-career, customer-facing role is suited to a software engineer seeking to grow into a technical leader. You will embed with customer teams, deliver production-grade systems, and deepen your knowledge of the Databricks platform while working alongside senior Forward Deployed Engineers and Databricks engineering teams. The role supports strategic customer data and AI projects from prototype through production deployment. You will contribute to architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable, full-stack solutions; collaborate with customer teams to understand their business and technical challenges; and help deliver measurable impact. You will also work with senior FDEs, engineering, customer support, project managers, architects, and customer teams to unblock work, incorporate customer learnings into the product, and deliver technical components that meet customer needs. You will manage technical scope and timelines for assigned workstreams, growing toward ownership of end-to-end delivery. The role is based in the Mountain View, California office, with a hybrid office expectation and approximately 20% travel to customer sites. The posting also identifies New York City as a hub city.
