About The Position

This role is responsible for preparing, plating, serving, and transporting food and supplies to ensure a high level of satisfaction for patients, family members, physicians, team members, and the public. The position requires timely, accurate, and courteous service, along with adherence to sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices for food safety. The Associate will operate various food service and computer equipment, perform advanced food service tasks such as call center agent, cashier, or deep equipment/station cleaning, and utilize specific software like CBORD and/or Tray Essentials. Additionally, the role involves using POS equipment and specialized cleaning equipment. A key aspect of this role is mentoring and training team members, and being cross-trained in various food service department roles across patient service, retail service, and production.

Requirements

Requires 2 years experience.
Requires ServSafe Handler Certification within 90 days of hire.
Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment.
Requires basic computer skills.
Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.
Requires the ability to climb ladders.
Physical requirements to include: reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.

High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred.

Utilizes POS equipment, product management, and/or reporting capabilities as a cashier.
Utilizes specialized equipment for advanced cleaning, including floor scrubbing machines and pressure washers.
Mentors and trains team members.
Is cross-trained within the food service department in various roles across patient service, retail service, and/or production.
