About The Position

This role is responsible for preparing, plating, serving, and transporting food and supplies to ensure high satisfaction for patients, family members, physicians, team members, and the public. The position requires timely, accurate, and courteous service, along with adherence to sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices for food safety. The Associate will operate various food service and computer equipment, and perform advanced tasks such as call center agent, cashier, or deep equipment cleaning. They will utilize specific software like CBORD and/or Tray Essentials, and POS equipment. The role also involves using specialized cleaning equipment and mentoring/training team members, with cross-training across different food service roles.

Requirements

Requires 2 years of experience.
Requires ServSafe Handler Certification within 90 days of hire.
Requires the ability to operate kitchen equipment.
Requires basic computer skills.
Must be able to wear protective equipment/clothing required by the environment or government regulations such as gowns, gloves, goggles, rubber-soled closed-toe footwear, etc.
Requires adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements to produce safe food for consumption.
Requires the ability to climb ladders.
Physical requirements to include: reaching, standing for long periods of time, squatting, bending, carrying and/or lifting supplies and equipment weighing 35 lbs. or more, up to 80% of the time.

High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Utilizes CBORD and/or Tray Essentials software and its reporting capabilities as a call center agent.
Utilizes POS equipment, product management, and/or reporting capabilities as a cashier.
Utilizes specialized equipment for advanced cleaning.
Mentors and trains team members.
Is cross-trained within the food service department in various roles across patient service, retail service, and/or production.
