About The Position

The Associate - Food Services I prepares, plates, serves, and transports food and supplies to provide a high level of satisfaction for patients, family members, physicians, team members, and the public. The role is responsible for timely, accurate, and courteous service, as well as sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices that ensure food safety. The associate operates a variety of food service and computer equipment.

This is a part-time rotating-shift position with supplemental hours that may vary from 0 to 24 hours according to department needs. The work location is West Hospital, onsite, supporting Nutrition Services.

Requirements

• No experience is required.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment.
• Ability to wear protective equipment or clothing required by the work environment or government regulations, such as gowns, gloves, goggles, and rubber-soled closed-toe footwear.
• Ability to climb ladders.
• Ability to reach, stand for long periods, squat, bend, and carry or lift supplies and equipment weighing 35 pounds or more, up to 80% of the time.
• Adherence to local health regulations and safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Prior food service experience.
