About The Position

As an Associate, Field Service I, you will ensure Baxter’s medical products are safe, clean, and fully functional for patient use across hospitals, clinics, and home‑care environments. You will support both rental and customer‑owned equipment by performing cleaning, disinfection, operational checks, and minor repairs, while also providing 24/7 delivery and removal services. This role places you at the center of Baxter’s mission—supporting essential therapies during critical moments of patient care. You will operate Baxter fleet vehicles, interact directly with healthcare professionals and patients, and uphold the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and hands‑on experience with tools, repairs, or equipment maintenance; experience with medical devices is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 65 pounds and maneuver heavy medical equipment safely and independently.
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to obtain/maintain a DOT medical card.
  • Comfort working in environments where biohazards may be present, following PPE and infection‑control protocols.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information to customers and coworkers.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, resolve issues, and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including navigating mobile devices, entering data, and using Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, disinfect, inspect, and perform minor repairs on a wide range of Baxter medical products to ensure patient‑ready condition.
  • Load, unload, deliver, and remove medical equipment—up to 1,680 pounds—using proper safety techniques and equipment.
  • Operate Baxter fleet vehicles, from cargo vans to 26,000‑lb trucks, while adhering to all safety, DOT, and company standards.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, between‑patient inspections, and pre‑installation checks using appropriate tools and diagnostic methods.
  • Troubleshoot basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and cosmetic issues and complete minor repairs independently.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including participation in 5S, housekeeping, and safety‑compliance activities.
  • Complete required documentation, including service records, regulatory forms, and electronic data entry across multiple devices.
  • Provide on‑call coverage—including nights, weekends, and holidays—and adapt to changing schedules and urgent customer needs.
