About The Position

Post University is seeking a part-time Associate Faculty member to teach specific human services or sociology course(s) during a semester on the main campus in Waterbury, CT. The primary duty is to convey course material so that students can attain the instructional outcomes of the course. The associate faculty member's minimum obligation is to fulfill the requirements specified for each course and comply with the University's procedures and regulations. The position is not approved to be performed in Alaska, California, Hawaii, or New York. Candidates must be physically located and perform their work from an approved state.

Requirements

• A minimum of a master’s degree and significant related experience in human services, sociology, or related field.
• Availability to teach daytime hours two or three days a week in-person, on the main campus in Waterbury, CT.
• College transcripts (official) on file with Associate Experience to be considered for employment.
• Completion of a training session prior to the first teaching assignment and follow-up semester in-person classroom technology and teaching training.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Class Instruction: Teach the assigned class in accordance with learning outcomes and syllabi specified by the program chair and Post University.
• Classroom Management: Adhere to all Post University policies and guidelines regarding course conduct and academic expectations. Work closely with the program chair and Student Advising to address areas of concern.
• Evaluate Student Performance: Administer evaluations of student performance based on course deliverables and course rubrics. Post all interim course grades on the Blackboard Grade Center and final course grades into WebReg.
• Adhere to Course Guidelines: Participate in class discussions, activities, and assignments as determined by the course. Fully engage students and maintain a high-touch effort with students.
• Respond Promptly to Grade Determination: Submit grades for assignments, discussion board exercises, and exams, and course completion according to established requirements.
• Input Final Grades in WebReg and into the Blackboard Grade Center.
